Management Team

Bernie Desgagnés – President and CEO
In 2004, Bernie Desgagnés founded Source Nutraceutical on the foundation of his extensive knowledge and experience in the regulatory affairs of foods, health products and pharmaceuticals.  

In the lead up to Source Nutraceutical, Bernie worked in Executive Management for a major Canadian natural health product distributor, founded a distributorship for sports nutrition/supplements and served over 18 years with the Government of Manitoba, moving up the ranks to their regulatory sector.

Julie McNabb, B.Sc. – Director of Quality Assurance and Customer Relations
With over 20 years of experience in the food and health product industries, Julie draws from her international expertise to lead Source Nutraceutical’s internal and external communications. A graduate of the University of Auckland, New Zealand, Julie’s experience includes international sales, business development, US and international regulatory compliance, new product development and QA management.

Marcel Fisette – Creative Director
One of the original Source Nutraceutical team members, Marcel has been in the graphic design field since 1995.  He specializes in creating strategic and innovative product packaging, branding, illustrating, creating marketing materials and project management. His leadership skills, and vision for all Source Nutraceutical clients is a result of his experience and dedication to the field of graphic design.

Nathalie Little, Ph.D – Regulatory Affairs Manager
Nathalie holds both a doctorate in molecular biology from Université Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France as well a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Master’s in Marine Biology from Université de Bretagne Occidentale, Brest, France.

She is proficient in Natural Health Product [NHP] regulations and has over 7 years of research and teaching experience. She has taught in Europe and Canada, including the Department of Plant Science at the University of Manitoba.

Neola Henry, M.Sc. – Regulatory Affairs Assistant Manager
An active member of the Canadian Institute of Food Science and Technology, Neola holds a post–graduate degree in Food Science from the University of Manitoba. Her experience in food research, analysis, regulatory policies and the development of models [HACCP] and Good Manufacturing Practice [GMP] provides strong leadership for the Source Nutraceutical regulatory team.

Joyce Edison B. Comm., CMA – Director of Finance and Administration
Joyce holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting from Saint Mary’s University, Halifax, Nova Scotia. She has also achieved Certified Management Accounting designation from the Society of Management Accountants in Winnipeg, Manitoba and has over 24 years of experience in the accounting field.

Regulatory Department

Caroline Alibin, Ph.D – Regulatory Affairs Specialist
Caroline holds a doctorate in Oral Biology from Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba.  During her postdoctoral studies she worked at the Canadian Centre for Agri–Food Research in Health and Medicine, St. Boniface General Hospital Research Center, Winnipeg. She has been published several peer–reviewed journals and has presented her work at numerous local, national and international conferences. She has also completed the Clinical Research Associate Program from Kriger Research Group International.

Alexandra Chorro, M.Sc. – Regulatory Affairs Specialist
Alexandra holds a post–graduate degree in Nutritional Sciences from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. She has experience in the leadership of HACCP and GMP audit-teams, managing a raw material testing lab, and co–ordinating product development projects for the food industry. She has also trained multicultural teams on food safety.

Vânia Nunes–Halldorson Ph.D – Regulatory Affairs Specialist
Vânia holds a PhD in Microbiology from the New Mexico State University, USA and also has certification with the Biotechnology Bridging Program from the University of Ottawa. She has over 25 years of experience, has received a number of awards and research grants, and is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English, with a working knowledge of French.

Anna Zawadzka M.Sc.– Regulatory Affairs Specialist
Anna holds a Master of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering specializing in Chemical Technology and Business Management from the Poznan University of Technology, Poland. She is an associate member of the Certified Technicians & Technologists Association of Manitoba with experience in the organic, health product and pharmaceutical industries.

Li Yin, B.Sc.– Regulatory Affairs Specialist
Li has been passionate about pharmaceuticals since her studies began in 1989. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science from The China Pharmaceutical University, she began her career in product development, drug analysis, R&D, Quality Control and writing SOPs for various scientific institutes in China and Canada. She has articles published in several well–respected science journals, and has also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences from the University of Saskatchewan.

Graphics Department

Neal Domenico – Graphic Designer
With over six years of multi–disciplinary graphic design Neal has the ability to tackle almost any type of project — everything from corporate identity to marketing materials, package design and photography.

Christel Loll – Graphic Designer
A specialist in Flash animation, graphic design, web development and market research, Christel brings interactive expertise to our Source Nutraceutical graphic design department.  She is graduate of Web Design and Business Administration at Assiniboine College in Brandon, Manitoba.

Administration

Fritzner Fleury–Charles, Jr., M.A . – Administrative Specialist
Fritzner holds a Masters in Financial Administration from Ecole National d’Administration Financiere, Haiti. His experience includes financial investigation for government departments in Haiti, several years as a Middle School teacher, and statistical data analysis for a University.  He is fluent in four languages and is profusely organized and analytical.

Warehouse and Fulfillment

Dan Granger– Warehouse Supervisor – Delta, BC
In 1980, Dan began his career in warehousing. After over 20 years of experience in various management roles, he has developed the organizational skills, experience, leadership, and logistical accuracy that are required for the success of Source Nutraceutical’s British Columbia warehouse. His expertise involves inventory control systems, operations, sales, purchasing and personnel management.

Pete Padmasari– Warehouse Employee – Delta, BC
Pete has worked in the warehousing industry since 1992 and pays extremely close attention to our client’s picking, packing and labelling requirements. His high attention to detail, strong work ethic and leadership skills enable him to uphold the strict accuracy and safety requirements of Source Nutraceutical’s warehouses.
