Job Opportunity - Warehouse Manager

Source Nutraceutical, Inc. is a fast-growing company with offices and warehouses in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Vancouver, British Columbia. The company serves the food, functional food, natural health product, OTC drug and cosmetic industries by being an integrated source for all regulatory, packaging compliance, graphical, marketing support and order fulfillment needs. Source Nutraceutical, Inc. has a substantial and growing domestic and foreign client base.
The company has a position of Warehouse Manager open at the Vancouver warehouse. This position is responsible for planning coordinating, controlling and managing all aspects of warehouse, fulfillment and distribution operations. This person will ensure the maximization of productivity, service and profitability by ensuring that all processes and procedures are being conducted efficiently and with cohesive teamwork.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain efficient receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by ensuring corporate policies and procedures are followed and customer needs are met;
- Plan and implement the efficient and effective use of manpower by hiring, training, cross-training, developing, disciplining and motivating warehouse employees;
- Ensure that the warehouse is properly organized and procedures are being followed for the proper security and maintenance of facilities and equipment;
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety policies, procedures and regulations to provide for the health and safety of employees;
- Manage internal product flow processes, logistics and inventory control; and
- Oversee special projects as required.
Experience and Attributes Preferrred:
- Post secondary education;
- 4 to 7 years direct third party logistics experience and a minimum of 3 years of warehouse management experience;
- Forklift experience;
- Experience in the food or health products industry in a warehouse environment;
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and/or HACCP as it relates to warehouse environments of food and health products;
- Skill and knowledge to identify and manage priorities;
- Leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate and direct the work of others while fostering a cohesive team environment;
- Excellent communication skills;
- High level of initiative;
- Goal-oriented and desire to contribute to the company��s success;
- Excellent computer skills; and
- Be able to thrive in an environment of growth and change.
